Unlike traditional firefighting operations that require the dispatch of multiple vehicles and teams of firefighters, the Dunk Truck™ is capable of handling vehicle fires with just one operator and a single truck.
When dispatched to a vehicle fire, the Dunk Truck™ arrives on-site with a 35,000-liter Dunk Tank filled with a water foam solution. The operator positions the truck adjacent the burning vehicle, and within under a minute, the truck transforms into a firefighting machine. Its stabilizing struts extend, securing the truck in place. Then, the top-mounted Dunk Tank doors open wide, and the fireproof crane comes to life, extending towards the burning vehicle.
What happens next is nothing short of revolutionary: the thermally armored crane—specially designed to operate in extreme heat—lifts the burning vehicle into the air and drops it into the Dunk Tank. There, the vehicle is immediately and completely submerged, cutting off the fire’s oxygen, dousing chemical reactions and extinguishing it in seconds.
This method does not only extinguish the fire faster, but it also contains the entire incident. Rather than allowing toxic runoff to drain into ditches and waterways, the Dunk Truck's sealed tank captures and holds the contaminated water, which can later be safely disposed of in a controlled environment.
